Product Care:

Washing: All our tabletop ceramics are dishwasher safe. Use care when loading them in a dishwasher, and be sure the products do not touch each other. Cooking: All our tabletop ceramics are safe for use in a microwave. Our ovenproof products are clearly marked as such on the bottom and are safe for baking in ovens up to 400 degrees. To prevent sticking and to shorten your cooking time, we recommend that you soak the piece in water for approximately 20 minutes prior to putting it in the oven. Be careful about quick temperature changes. Majolica is the process used in creating our ceramic pieces. The work that has the name majolica consists of three steps: At the beginning, the ceramic is glazed for the first time, decorated, immersed in crystalline and cooked in a way that seals the decoration forever. The use of red clay, or terra cotta, is one of the oldest traditions of Tuscany and generally provides a more rustic and traditional effect. The white clay is used mainly in the Veneto region. It is used to get the most delicate colors and brightness with a lot of color contrasts. Over time, our ceramics may develop fine lines in the coating. This is referred to in ceramics as crazing. This does not compromise the product in any way. Other small imperfections in the ceramics are a proof that they are entirely made by hand and considered a part of the unique quality of the products.
